Matt and Cat were married on a very blustery day in Edinburgh at The Glasshouse. It is a lovely venue and initially the plan was for the wedding to take place on the roof garden – that’s right! The roof of the hotel is actually a garden with tremendous views over Calton Hill. Due to the wind, we had no option but to hold it within the Roof Pavilion.
Matt and Cat had chosen to keep their personal vows a secret from one another so it would be a surprise on the day. I think the biggest surprise was that these two Police Officers were almost overcome with emotion while they read their vows to the other. Everyone supported them and they made it through – just.
Relieved it's all over |
I should have taken more note of the date though. This was Scottish Cup Final day! As it happens my football team was knocked out in the semi-final. (they have never have been and likely never will be in the final – but what would I have done???)
“To George,
Matt and I would like to thank you for a wonderful wedding ceremony. We loved every minute of it and could not have asked for a better time. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into the ceremony.
Thanks,
Mr & Mrs Higson.”
